Have you ever wondered who you'd be if you had just made different choices in your life?

As people make choices every day, they often find themselves wondering about the other decisions they didn’t take, often leading to regret, curiosity, and uncertainty. Danielle Tuiran’s Disconnected Memories is a nonlinear, first-person visual novel created in Twine that puts the player at the center of the story, exploring these themes of counterfactual thinking. Through a series of choices, they navigate through pivotal moments in their life, exploring the many possible outcomes that could have happened. This interactive story draws inspiration from Danielle’s personal journey and her fascination with the multiverse, blending elements of fiction and nonfiction. She intends for Disconnected Memories to encourage players to reflect on the choices that have shaped their lives up to this very moment.
